Come on, man…

Get up! Get on up! Get up! Get on up!

Ok, I guess it’s not working. He’s still dead. I just thought it was worth a try.

Rest in Peace, James Brown.

(Also, everybody who’s reading this, in case you think I have no respect, I beg you, for your own enrichment, to pick up that reissue they put out two years ago of James Brown live at the Apollo from the 50’s. It’s really really astonishingly great.)

Is there anybody out there with a Nintendo Wii….

…who wants to be able to say, “Hey, I’ve shared Miis with Nate from the famous sketch group A Week of Kindness”? Put your number in the comments in the next day or two, before the spambots get here, and I’ll add you.

You’ll also want to add my number into your Wii address book, which is

5677 7920 5943 6976.

It’s like sending your ghost to watch my ghost play tennis…while we’re both still alive!

Probably the last Santa-based sketch this year…probably.

It’s the trailer for another goddamn Santa Clause movie. They couldn’t even get Tim Allen to sign on for this one, if that gives you any idea.

But first….new show announcements!

It’s Christmas in January!

We all know Bing Crosby for his beloved Christmas specials. But did you know that even to this day, he forces his family to perform a Christmas special every week of the year in his home? Televised or not? Well, it’s just turned January, and the Crosby kids are beginning to show the strain of too much Christmas. Will songs be sung? Will hearts be warmed? Will David Bowie stop over for some reason? Find out at A Week of Kindness’ Christmas In January.

At the Peoples Improv Theatre:
154 W. 29th St, between 6th and 7th Avenues
Saturdays, January 6, 13, and 20, at 9:30 PM. Tickets are $8.
With special guests Dawghaus, together again for one month only!

And now…It’s “The Santa Clause IV: The Kitty Claws”

Holy crap, did you hear about Santa Claus going crazy and like racist and stuff on stage?

Yeah, man, and it wasn’t like he just accidentally said a thing that came out wrong. It was really really bad.

This is career-ending. You gotta check this out, man….
